Aveo Engineering has become well known for its high-intensity, high-quality LED lighting products, and it is expected that these elegant, finely engineered pieces would be expensive. But the company showed a new line at Oshkosh this year called PowerBurst. And they retail for just $400 a pair.

As a longtime user of the Dynon original product line, specifically the EFIS D100 and EMS D120, I was eager to sample its latest endeavor, the SkyView system. During Oshkosh, I had the chance to fly a Gobosh LSA fitted with the largest of the SkyView screens, an impressive 10 inch display.

A familiar face in the aero-engine industry, Tim Archer, has taken been appointed CEO of Superior Aviation and Superior Air Parts. Archer was President and CEO of Superior until just before the bankruptcy in early 2009. For the last year, Superior has been rebuilding with investment capital from a Chinese conglomerate.
